 Bull Elk Hunting - 2nd Season - Nov 8-16, 2008
The Wallowa Mountains of Northeast Oregon have long been known for their exceptional deer and elk hunting. Falling almost entirely within the Eagle Cap Wilderness, these mountains have been home to many record book animals. Wilderness means no roads and less hunter pressure and therefore better hunting.
We offer Drop Camp hunts, Supplied Camp hunts, Guided Hunts and Remote Camps. Camps are an average of 3-8 miles into the wilderness and Remote Camps are over 8 miles. These are 7-day hunts. For more information on our Remote Deluxe Camps (Cook, Wrangler and Spike Camps) visit Remote Hunts.
The 2nd Season Elk hunt is for any bull and it is also possible to purchase bear and cougar tags Many camps are near lakes and streams, so bringing a fishing pole is a good idea. Check with us in advance for the location of your camp. Packing in a few days prior to the season is recommended, and regular meat checks to pack out game are included at no extra charge. Packing out Monday, the day after the season ends, is on a first come, first serve basis and some camps need to be packed out on Tuesday following the season.
