 Bow Hunting - Aug 30-Sept 28, 2008Those hunters in the know regard the Eagle Cap Wilderness area of northeast Oregon as a "sleeper" area without the recognition it deserves. The new Oregon state record archery bull was taken in these mountains in 2004 along with half a dozen others that were nearly as big. Experienced hunters will tell you that even bigger bulls are available, and most predict a new state record soon.We offer Drop Camp hunts, Supplied Camp hunts, Guided Hunts and Remote Camps. Camps are an average of 3-8 miles into the wilderness and Remote Camps are over 8 miles. These are 7-day hunts. Packing out the day after your hunt ends is on a first come first serve basis and some camps need to be packed out a day or two following the season. Drop Camp Hunts: We will pack you and your gear to your choice of sites. You provide all the gear. $ 900.00 Drop Camp per hunter. - Early season $1,000.00 Drop Camp per hunter. - Late season $1,100.00 Remote Drop Camp per hunter. $1,000.00 Remote Drop Camp per hunter if you fly into Reds. Supplied Camp Hunts: We pack you in to one of our camps that is already setup and waiting. We furnish the tents, wood stoves, all the necessary camp gear, propane cook stove, and all the cooking and kitchen equipment. You just bring your sleeping bag, a foam pad, food, and your hunting and personal gear. $1,400.00 Supplied Camp per hunter. - Early season $1,500.00 Supplied Camp per hunter. - Late season $1,600.00 Remote Supplied Camp per hunter. $1,500.00 Remote Drop Camp per hunter if you fly into Reds. Guided Hunts: We offer these hunts on a limited basis. These are one-on-two guided hunts, and we provide everything: the guide, cook, wrangler, food, the camp, and all the necessary camp gear. All you need to bring is your personal gear. Your guide will help you dress game, and there are no trophy fees or extra charges. Booking these hunts well in advance is recommended. $4,200.00 per hunter. Bow Hunting - Aug 30-Sept 28, 2008 We hunt in the Minam, Catherine Creek, Pine Creek, Keating, Snake and Imnaha units and Tags may be purchased over the counter up to the day prior to the start of bow season, not the start of your hunt. Camp minimum requirements based on location of camp with most camps being two hunters. Give us a satellite or cell phone call and we will come and pack-out your game. Bow hunts are seven days of hunting with a day to pack-in and a day to pack-out. Packing in a few days prior to the season is recommended. Packing out the day after your hunt ends is on a first come first serve basis and some camps need to be packed out a day or two following the hunt. Please note: Pack items are limited to 125 pounds total or 1-1/2 mules per hunter on a supplied camp, per person, and 200 pounds or 2 mules for drop camp, per person.
